ASAP Personnel is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated Collections Specialist to join our team at our Addison, TX office. • Full-Time
• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• $21.00 – $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of past-due accounts, initiating timely collection efforts via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, invoice disputes, and payment issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients and customers while maintaining strong working relationships.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the collections/accounting system.
• Cross-reference invoices, purchase orders, and account statements to resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, accounting, client services) to resolve account issues.
• Prepare and distribute regular reports on collection status, aging accounts, and outstanding balances.
• Follow up consistently with clients throughout the collections process to ensure timely resolution.
• Meet collection goals and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, credit, or a related finance/accounting role required.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting/ERP systems preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus, though not required.
• Experience with factoring, staffing industry collections, or Avionte/similar ATS/accounting platforms is a plus.
