Maintenance Technician

Job Details Location: Alpharetta, GA 30005 Position Type: Full Time Responsibilities and Duties To assist with Housekeeping, Laundry and Plant Operations/Maintenance Departments in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the community, and as may be directed by the Maintenance Director, to ensure that the community is maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary and comfortable manner and to ensure that an adequate supply of laundry and linen are on hand at all times to meet the need to the residents. Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance services. Coordinate housekeeping, laundry and maintenance services and activities with other related departments. Inspect and maintain storage rooms, linen closets, utility and janitorial areas of the Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Departments. Ensure that the community and department are maintained in a clean and safe manner and that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained and operable to perform required duties and services. Ensure that a sufficient level of supplies, disinfectants, equipment, etc. is maintained to provide a clean, safe and sanitary environment. Assist in standardizing the methods in which housekeeping, laundry and maintenance tasks will be performed. Coordinate services to ensure that daily housekeeping, laundry and maintenance services can be performed without interruption. Assist with periodic inspections of supplies and equipment to ensure that adequate levels are maintained, and that equipment is available and working properly. Review and promptly report to the Maintenance Director written records of all resident complaints concerning the department. Attend and participate in various committees and meetings of the community. Assist in identifying and correcting problem areas and/or the changes as required. Conduct Fire Drills as required by the Maintenance Director. Be on call for emergency situations as instructed. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong organizational skills; Multi‑tasker with a strong work ethic; Must have training in emergency evacuation procedures, medical and social needs of the residents, resident’s rights, abuse and neglect reporting, infection control, medication assistance, dementia, and courses relevant to the job duties. #J-18808-Ljbffr
