East Florida Eye Institute is seeking an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to support the daily operations of our ophthalmology practice. This position assists with front-office workflow, staff training, patient experience initiatives, scheduling oversight, and administrative operations while ensuring exceptional service for our patients.

Qualifications

• Ophthalmology experience required.
• Experience with Nextech EMR/PM preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of medical office experience.
• Previous supervisory, team lead, or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of patient scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing daily front-office operations.
• Support staff training and cross-training initiatives.
• Monitor scheduling and patient flow.
• Assist with quality assurance and patient service standards.
• Help maintain operational efficiency and workflow processes.
• Provide coverage and support for all front-office functions as needed.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining exceptional patient service.
