Overview The Stryten factory in Salina, Kansas is one of the largest lead-acid battery manufacturing sites in North America with 800 employees capable of producing more than 35,000 quality batteries per day. These batteries can be found in your car, in your boat or RV, or, in your lawn and garden equipment. Maintains production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and plant mechanical equipment. Our plant is located in Salina, KS but we have employees that live in our neighboring towns such as Concordia, Ellsworth, Herrington and McPherson. Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts. Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery. Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment. Follow all procedures with regard to Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) and Confined Space Entry. Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Comply with current Quality System requirements. Follow Lean Manufacturing procedures. Perform other work as assigned by management. Physical Requirements: Occasional heavy lifting of 70 pounds, routine lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Withstand occasional exposure to extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, odors, and dust. Ability to climb ladders, squat, bend, and work in confined spaces.
