Licensed Behavioral Support SpecialistJCCA is seeking qualified Licensed Behavioral Support Specialists (LBSS) to join our Residential Treatment Campus, offering a safe and supervised setting for at risk youth, ages 5-21. The Residential Treatment Campus is located in Pleasantville, NY and provides intensive support to children with emotional, behavioral and developmental challenges.The Licensed Behavioral Support Specialists work in partnership with Case Planners and other Campus Team members to provide therapeutic services to children and their families, with the goal of cultivating a safe and permanent outcome for every child.Job FunctionsDevelop and implement skill development interventions and curriculum for individual and group facilitation.Structure interventions to decrease problem behavior and increase developmentally appropriate pro-social behaviorIntervene in crisis or conflict situations, moving toward the resolution of problems and re-defining new goals.Provide individual counseling and treatment, substance abuse assessment and counseling, trauma-informed counseling and treatment, family and group counseling, transitional counselingComplete Psychosocial assessments and provide psycho-education and wellness educationCoordinate with the interdisciplinary team members to coordinate interventions to support and enhance the youth's skill development and well-being, along with adherence to treatment recommendations.Collaborate with Families First Coordinators and Family Support Specialists to assist youth and family's transition and skill building into the community to support goal of PermanencyScreen for human trafficking concerns and comply with AWOC ProtocolComplete Progress Notes and all required documentation within expected timeframesServe as the clinical driver of the behavioral and medical health planning.Assist with hospitalization and discharge planning following hospitalizationParticipate in all mandatory trainings and optional trainings that enhance practiceAny other duties assignedQualifications and RequirementsNew York Stated licensed LMSW/LMHC/LMFT/LCAT – limited permit is acceptable upon hireAbility to focus on treatment planning with children and families with the goal of permanencyMust demonstrate the ability to collaborate with client and teams that are culturally and professionally diverseSolid organizational, documentation and follow-up skills are requiredProficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new platforms; experience using electronic health record is a preferredAn understanding of the impacts of institutional and structural racism on the child welfare system and in disadvantaged communitiesPrevious experience in child welfare, preferably in residential settingBilingual English/Spanish is highly preferredSalary$62,400 - $64,920
