Activity Therapist – Per Diem At Arbour Hospital, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high‑quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the residents of the greater Boston area since 1909. Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient‑focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We are an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral health services. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that addresses individualized behavioral health needs. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community‑based programs, and day treatment. The Activity Therapist is an important member of Arbour Hospital's inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Group Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on our inpatient psychiatric units. Responsibilities Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals Facilitate 4 groups per day Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings Maintain accurate and timely documentation Qualifications Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field required 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred EEO Statement All UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
