Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. The role requires two years of experience and previous travel experience. Nurses will work under a patient ratio of 1:2. Local candidates are accepted. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, NRP, and FHM. Knowledge of Cerner EMR is essential. The position involves various nursing skills including the administration of medications, assistance with deliveries, and postpartum care. The candidate should have expertise in pain assessment and management. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential. The nurse will provide support for breastfeeding and couplet care. Candidates must be adept in monitoring fetal heart rates and recognizing abnormal patterns. Knowledge in managing labor and delivery, including both vaginal deliveries and C-sections, is required. Sterile techniques and proper documentation are crucial aspects of this role. The potential to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals exists. Candidates are expected to have thorough knowledge of infection control protocols and safety measures.
