Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days or Nights based on scheduling needs)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients throughout the labor and delivery process
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor using fetal heart monitoring techniques
- Operate independently as the sole L&D nurse on shift, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and autonomy
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and coordinate care as needed
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in OB/Labor & Delivery nursing
- Ability and comfort level working independently as the only L&D nurse on shift
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
