Details Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting Care for inpatient obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and surgical delivery Perform fetal monitoring, medication administration, and patient education specific to the obstetric population Night shift schedule from 7:30pm to 7:00am, 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week Weekend shifts required No holiday shifts required No floating requirements Requires use of Epic EMR for charting Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications through the American Heart Association Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience ASN required, BSN preferred Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic charting experience required Additional Information Provides intrapartum care for mother and newborn during labor, delivery, and surgical delivery Monitors fetal well-being and administers medications specific to obstetric patients Delivers patient education tailored to the obstetric population Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Travel partners are not accepted for this position Contingent workers who have been on assignment with the health system for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning American Traveler Job ID P-729520.
