Aventiv Technologies – Where your future awaits - YouTubeAssociate Referral Reward EligibleJob Purpose: The Sr. HR Specialist is responsible for executing day-to-day responsibilities related to the Employee Lifecycle, including aspects related to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, and HRIS data management. This role also includes communication with internal and external partners. This role ensures a positive employee experience and helps maintain compliant and efficient HR functions. The Sr. HR Specialist partners closely with leaders, employees, and HR teammates to drive a culture of engagement, fairness, and performance. The Sr. HR Specialist acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more HR disciplines (HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Employee Relations, or Immigration). This role leads complex HR processes, mentors junior specialists, and supports HR leadership with analysis and recommendations. The Sr. HR Specialist works under the supervision of the Talent Success Manager.Essential Duties:Lead advanced HR processes and serve as a process owner and subject matter expert in assigned areas.Act as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on HR policy questions.Partner with HR Business Partners on HR programs with moderate supervision.Coordinate HR audits, compliance programs, and policy updates.Mentor HR Specialist role, providing coaching and technical expertise.Process HR transactions such as new hires, terminations, job changes, and employee data updates.Administer onboarding and offboarding processes.Create and maintain HR records in both electronic and paper format and maintain data within the HRIS system.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (I-9s, EEO data, audits).Help ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.Responds to requests for HR data for legal requests, audits, and process improvements.Supports team members by executing requests and following up on issues.Perform other related duties as assigned or required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Knowledge and competence in assigned functional area of HR.Strong attention to detail and can analyze data.Prompt, punctual, and regular attendance during core business hours, in an office environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Communicates effectively to all levels of associates and SME.Able to problem-solve and escalate issues as necessary.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Effective collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and procedures, technical procedures.Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.Works independently with minimal supervision.Exercises substantial judgment in interpreting HR policies.Recognized as an SME for systems, processes, or compliance.Has influence across departments; may run cross-functional programsMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED.3+ years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or administrative rolePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in human resources management or in a related field.2+ years of experience as an HR administrator, coordinator, or related role.Experience with UKG or other HRIS and Applicant Tracking SystemsPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.Occasionally, this position may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.Salary and Benefits:At Aventiv, our salary and benefits are designed to fit you as a whole person.
