As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a public education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.06 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM Tue: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM Wed: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM Thur: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM Fri: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at educational facilities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and maintain clear communication with school personnel and emergency responders as appropriate. Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and/or security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
