Your expertise will guide swimmers through critical techniques, ensuring they thrive in a supportive environment. You'll be responsible for enforcing all rules set forth by the YMCA of Greater Toledo, maintaining a safe and competitive atmosphere. With your keen eye for talent, you'll classify swimmers and assign them to appropriate events during meets, ensuring each athlete has the opportunity to shine. A high school diploma is required, coupled with a solid competitive swimming background that equips you with first-hand knowledge of the sport. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, allowing you to inspire and motivate team members while fostering a positive team culture. Additionally, being organized and detail-oriented will help you effectively classify swimmers and manage event assignments.
