AutoZone’s Store Management team drives store performance, fosters a productive team, and ensures exceptional customer service. Managers and Managers in Training (MITs) play a key leadership role, expected to live the pledge and deliver WOW! customer service while executing store operations with excellence. The MIT role is a transitional position designed to prepare you for promotion into a Retail Store Management position within 8‑12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance. Responsibilities Leadership Development – Live the pledge, deliver WOW! customer service, and cultivate a high‑performing, engaged store team. Communication Excellence – Maintain clear and effective communication with employees and customers to drive store execution and performance. Metrics Mindedness – Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to optimize store profitability. Structure & Process Orientation – Support store operations, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold structured training processes. Teamwork & Training – Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop a strong, successful team. Customer Service Leadership – Take charge of customer service activities, ensuring outstanding experiences and resolving concerns proactively. Inventory & Sales Management – Oversee inventory accuracy, store merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize success. Operations Training – Complete management skills training, learning key aspects of store operations and AutoZone culture. Qualifications Minimum 1‑2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor. Flexible full‑time schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English. Previous automotive retail experience or experience analyzing company financials (e.g., Profit & Loss statements) is a plus.
