Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable ProcessorPosition Purpose: Processes accounts payable and maintains associated vendor and invoice files for the District.Responsibilities:Process and enter vendor invoices accurately and timely.Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents.Prepare and process weekly check runs and ACH, payments.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.Assist with vendor records, including W-9s and payment information.Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.Assist with 1099 reporting and year-end audit requests.Collaborate with internal departments to resolve purchasing and payment issues.Participate in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district.Qualifications:High school diploma required; associate degree in Accounting or Business preferred.13 years of accounts payable or accounting experience preferred.Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.Experience with accounting software.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Application Procedures:All applications for open Fargo Public Schools positions must be made via Paper submissions will not be accepted.
