In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining a well-managed ecosystem for the US Card Authorizations platform. You will work with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to ensure the authorizations process is operating as intended. You will manage Authorizations controls and leverage data to ensure those controls are executing correctly. You will own and operate authorization processes that are focused on reducing risk. On any given day you will be: Leveraging your Authorizations expertise to solve complex problems and to consult on new platform initiatives Managing processes and controls that keep authorizations compliant and well-managed Identifying new failure modes and developing controls to prevent those failures from occurring Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to create new strategies, drive transparency, and deliver business commitments Influencing product design to ensure the authorizations platform is resilient and well-managed Distilling big picture intent into pragmatic requirements and implementation plans The Successful Candidate: Has a strong bias towards action, trying new things and sometimes failing Helps to solve complex problems with sustainable solutions Has the ability to deliver high quality results either autonomously or collaboratively - depending on the scenario Is able to efficiently learn complex processes and apply that knowledge in an effective manner Has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment Communicates effectively and efficiently across multiple levels of an organization Has strong project and process management skills, including the ability to identify end-to-end impacts, create project plans and communicate updates Understands data and technology, and is comfortable with working in a technology focused environment Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or military experience At least 1 year of experience working with analytical, data management or software engineering teams At least 1 year of experience in project management or process management At least 1 year of experience in authorization controls or auditing Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree or MBA 1+ year of experience with Python and SQL 3+ years of experience in Process management, Product operations, Product delivery or Project Management 3+ years of experience in Strategic planning PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Project Manager Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Project Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
