Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening and night shifts available, including 12-hour (1500-0330 or 1900-0730) and 8-hour shifts as needed. Weekend and holiday rotation required. Patient ratio 4:1. 20 hours of orientation provided.

• High-acuity Emergency Department with over 60,000 patient visits annually and 67 treatment rooms
• Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke and Cardiac Center designations
• Care for combined adult and pediatric populations across all age groups including neonates through geriatrics
• Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and full subspecialty coverage
• Advanced clinical programs including ECMO/ECPR, transplant, oncology, and burn care

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only) required
• Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
• Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to assignment start (80% passing score required with specific criteria for lethal rhythm identification)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to float to other emergency department locations as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
