The Manager, Business Process Improvement & Vertiv Operating System (VOS) is responsible for leading cross-functional business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational performance, scalability, customer experience, and financial results.

This role will serve as a key change leader within the organization, partnering with functional and business leaders to evaluate current-state processes, identify performance gaps and root causes, design scalable future-state solutions, and lead implementation through sustained adoption. The Manager will leverage VOS principles, Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, data analytics, technology, AI, and automation to simplify how work gets done, eliminate non-value-added activity, improve visibility and accountability, and establish repeatable processes capable of supporting continued business growth.

The position will lead improvement initiatives across key enterprise value streams including Opportunity-to-Cash (OTC), New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI), Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP), Services, and other critical business processes. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, structured problem-solving, executive presence, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence and drive change across functions without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Process Improvement & Transformation

· Lead end-to-end business process improvement and transformation initiatives from problem identification through implementation, adoption, and sustainment. 

· Rapidly develop an understanding of unfamiliar business processes, operating models, systems, and organizational dependencies. 

· Conduct comprehensive current-state assessments and develop scalable future-state processes aligned with business objectives. 

· Identify process bottlenecks, unnecessary handoffs, duplication, control gaps, manual activities, system limitations, and other sources of inefficiency. 

· Lead value-stream mapping, process mapping, Kaizen events, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving workshops. 

· Translate complex business problems into clearly defined improvement opportunities with measurable objectives, owners, milestones, and expected outcomes. 

· Challenge legacy processes and assumptions while balancing operational requirements, risk, customer impact, and organizational readiness. 

· Establish standardized work, governance, controls, documentation, and performance measures necessary to sustain improvements. 

Project & Program Leadership

· Independently lead cross-functional improvement and transformation initiatives of varying size and complexity from charter through implementation and sustainment. 

· Establish clear project scope, objectives, milestones, ownership, risks and success measures while holding teams accountable for execution. 

· Provide leadership with concise visibility into project status, barriers, business impact and recommendations while maintaining appropriate VOS and ServiceNow governance. 

Data, Analytics & Performance Management

· Leverage data to identify performance gaps, validate root causes and prioritize improvement opportunities. 

· Establish meaningful KPIs, baselines and dashboards that provide visibility into process and business performance. 

· Translate data into actionable insights and track expected versus realized benefits following implementation. 

AI, Automation & Digital Transformation

· Proactively identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, workflow technology and digital tools to improve productivity, scalability and decision-making. 

· Partner with IT and functional leaders to redesign and automate high-volume, manual and repetitive processes. 

· Develop business cases and measure the operational and financial impact of technology and automation investments.

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, Computer Science, or related discipline.

· Intermediate knowledge in all areas of project planning, development, management, and implementation.

· Project Management certifications (PMP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) a plus.

· 8-10 years of experience in project management or exposure to at least two of the following processes: OTC, PTP, NPDI, SIOP, and/or Services.

· Experience in an international and culturally diverse organization.

Travel Expectations:

10% travel required.
