Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee the production lines in an automotive setting, ensuring efficiency and quality in operations

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, coach, and direct team leaders and labor to meet production volume, cost, quality, and schedule targets

• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports

• Plan headcount for absences, holidays, training, and workshops

• Complete daily Attendance Register and ADP data entry for employee time and schedules

• Conduct standardized work audits and ensure adherence to Standardized Work within the team

• Collaborate with Team Leaders to schedule rotation of Operators

• Liaise with support functions to resolve build issues and prevent recurrence

• Oversee re-work processes as required

• Manage the closure of line QRCI's and coach team leaders to independently resolve issues

• Ensure team members adhere to the principles of 7 Quality Basics

• Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, 5S, and good housekeeping practices

• Promote continuous improvement in all areas and follow up on improvement ideas

• Conduct disciplinary, return to work, and performance evaluation interviews with team members

• Validate operator polyvalence levels and set targets weekly

• Assist with additional tasks as assigned

Essential Skills

• Experience in production supervision, particularly in an automotive environment

• Knowledge of union environments, specifically UAW

• Expertise in production management, safety, continuous improvement, and supervision

• Proficiency in Six Sigma, assembly, lean manufacturing, and process improvement

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
