The position plays a critical role in financial reporting, strategic planning, operational improvement, staff development, and organizational decision-making. This role extends well beyond technical accounting. We are seeking a leader who can develop people, drive projects, improve processes, build relationships across the organization, and communicate effectively with executives, physicians, board members, auditors, bankers, and other external stakeholders. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Public or Health Service Administration or Finance. Seven to Ten years' experience in a hospital, including at least five years supervision above the first supervisory level. Ability to develop financial management strategies that meet hospital and corporate objectives. Knowledge of hospital generally accepted accounting principles, consolidated accounting concepts, implementation of accounting and reporting systems, critical analysis of data and measurement of financial performance. Maintain awareness of trends in accounting/financial presentation and governmental third party payor reimbursement policies, standards, and procedures. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with vendors and the hospital staff. Ability to effectively present information to executive management and board of directors. Experience in organizing and leading teams.
