About the Role
Our client, a leading organization within the property and casualty insurance industry, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician II to support daily depot and end-user technology operations. This role is responsible for ensuring employees have the equipment, applications, and technical support needed to remain productive. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and experienced in providing hands-on desktop support in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Work Arrangement: Onsite Job Description
The Desktop Support Technician II will provide day-to-day technical support for hardware, software, and equipment lifecycle management activities. This position plays a key role in supporting new hire onboarding, equipment deployments, technology refresh initiatives, and asset management processes. The technician will work within ServiceNow to manage incidents, service requests, and support tasks while delivering excellent customer service to internal users.
Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and support tasks using ServiceNow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, peripheral, and application-related issues.
• Deploy, configure, and support end-user equipment for new hires and existing employees.
• Perform equipment upgrades, technology refreshes, and asset inventory updates.
• Support hardware imaging, configuration, quality assurance, and deployment activities.
• Provide support for mobile devices, including iPhones and related accessories.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving of equipment, including processing returns and incoming hardware.
• Perform basic hardware repairs and maintenance.
• Receive, inventory, and store new equipment from vendors.
• Assist with peripheral setup and support, including monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and other devices.
• Maintain accurate records of assets, deployments, and support activities.
• Support additional depot operations and technical support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience providing desktop or technical support in a corporate environment.
• Proficiency with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows-based hardware and software issues.
• Knowledge of desktop imaging, deployment, and device lifecycle management processes.
• Experience supporting laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a large enterprise or corporate technology environment.
• Knowledge of IT asset management and inventory control processes.
• Experience supporting Apple iPhones and mobile device deployments.
• Familiarity with hardware repair and warranty support processes.
• Understanding of ITIL-based service management practices.
• Previous experience supporting technology refresh or equipment deployment projects.
