Make a meaningful impact as a School Social Worker, supporting elementary students from Kindergarten through 5th grade in a dynamic learning environment. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to nurture student growth and provide vital support services throughout the school year, with potential for extension.

Role highlights include:

• Provide direct and indirect social-emotional support for K-5 students, helping them navigate academic, behavioral, and social challenges
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to facilitate student success
• Conduct assessments, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in IEP and intervention meetings
• Support crisis intervention and deliver evidence-based counseling strategies
• Develop and implement programs that foster a positive, inclusive school climate
• Advocate for student needs and connect families to necessary community resources

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Hold a valid Illinois SSW license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Previous school-based experience working with elementary-age students
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse school communities
• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality and supporting ethical practices
