COMMUNITY OUTREACH & PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATOR

Hybrid with regular in person community outreach

ABOUT THE ROLE

BayRidge Effective Therapy is a boutique virtual therapy practice serving clients throughout California.

We are looking for someone local to the South Bay who can help us become more connected, visible, and involved in the community.

This is not a traditional marketing assistant position.

We are looking for someone with personality, creativity, initiative, and genuine charisma who can represent BayRidge in the community, build authentic professional relationships, and continually find new ways to get our name in front of the right people.

This role is ideal for someone who can be given a goal and run with it.

You should be someone who sees opportunities, takes initiative, and does not need to be told every next step.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Attend networking events, community events, professional mixers, health fairs, and other relevant South Bay events on behalf of BayRidge.

Build authentic relationships with local therapists, physicians, psychiatrists, attorneys, schools, treatment programs, community organizations, and other referral partners.

Visit physician offices, attorney offices, treatment programs, schools, and other referral sources.

Deliver informational materials, handwritten cards, small gifts, treats, and creative outreach items.

Introduce BayRidge to potential referral partners through phone calls, email, social media, and in person communication.

Develop ongoing relationships instead of making one time contacts.

Schedule coffee meetings, introductions, and other opportunities to connect with community partners.

Follow up consistently with people we meet.

Engage authentically with therapists, businesses, attorneys, medical professionals, and community organizations on social media.

Monitor Facebook and other professional groups for appropriate referral and networking opportunities.

Respond to relevant community conversations and referral requests.

Research local networking opportunities and identify events BayRidge should participate in.

Identify creative partnership, sponsorship, presentation, and community involvement opportunities.

Develop new outreach ideas without waiting to be assigned every project.

Keep organized records of contacts, conversations, follow ups, and referral relationships.

Communicate regularly with the BayRidge team about opportunities, relationships, and ideas.

Help BayRidge continue developing relationships with immigration attorneys for our psychological immigration evaluation services.

SPANISH SPEAKING IS A STRONG PLUS

Spanish fluency is highly preferred.

BayRidge is expanding its psychological immigration evaluation services, and the ability to communicate comfortably with Spanish speaking prospective clients and professional partners would be extremely valuable.

This person may also assist with initial immigration evaluation inquiries and help Spanish speaking prospective clients navigate the first steps of contacting our practice.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success in this position is not simply sending a certain number of emails or making a certain number of calls.

We want to see meaningful relationships developing.

Success might look like:

A physician's office beginning to recognize and trust BayRidge.

An immigration attorney calling us when an evaluation is needed.

A therapist thinking of BayRidge when they have a client they cannot accommodate.

A community organization inviting us to participate in an event.

A professional connection turning into an ongoing referral relationship.

Finding a community opportunity that the rest of our team did not know existed.

Creating an outreach idea that gets people talking about BayRidge.

LOCATION

Applicants should live in or near the South Bay area of Los Angeles and be comfortable traveling locally throughout areas such as Torrance, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Palos Verdes, Lomita, San Pedro, Gardena, Hawthorne, El Segundo, and surrounding communities.

Reliable transportation is required because regular local travel and in person outreach are essential parts of this position.

SCHEDULE

Part time position with a flexible schedule.

Some work can be completed remotely, including email, phone, research, social media outreach, and follow up.

Regular in person community outreach is required.

Occasional evening or weekend availability will be needed for networking events, community events, or professional gatherings.
