Industrial Maintenance Technician - All Shifts - Omaha, NE

Position Summary This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. The Maintenance Mechanic supports a variety of electromechanical equipment in a food processing environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair equipment, providing technical support for all phases of the operation. Understand technical and training manuals. Handle and distribute cleaning chemicals and record data. Comply with safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements. Proficiency in basic electrical, electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication, and manufacturing processes. Preferred: prior experience, special training, and formal education in a mechanical capacity. Strong communication skills. Perform general housekeeping duties in the department. Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor. Perform all positions of rotation, if applicable. Physical Requirements Willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Push, pull, or lift up to 75 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, and reach. Climb up and down stairs and ladders. Requirements Minimum one year of documented maintenance work experience, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program. Combined experience from multiple employers is acceptable if total documented experience equals one year. Location is not accepting rehires. Work Shift First Shift (United States of America).
