Facilities Operations Analyst

COMMUNITY COORDINATOR – 56058

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate poverty and create opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. Responsibilities Support senior staff in overseeing financial and contractual operations for Youth Services Facilities, including tracking vendor budgets, processing invoices, and reviewing proposals and change orders. Ensure vendors meet contract terms and deadlines, and facilitate communication between DYCD, community centers, and external partners to resolve maintenance issues, service requests, and IT concerns. Conduct site visits to address recurring facility challenges and maintain open communication with CBO Program Directors, NYCHA representatives, and maintenance teams. Provide support to community center staff on submitting service requests and understanding maintenance protocols, including assistance with IT connections. Attend meetings and site visits to gather feedback and address recurring maintenance challenges. Minimum Qualifications A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or related activities; or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or related activities; or Education/experience equivalent to options 1 or 2, with at least one year of experience as described in option 1. Preferred Skills Experience compiling, generating, and maintaining dashboards and geographical mapping. Excellent written and communication skills. Highly organized with attention to detail. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). General project management skill is a plus. Knowledgeable in community work, organizing, and engagement. Ability to communicate complex messages clearly and simply to diverse NYC audiences. Ability to function in a fast‑paced and quickly changing environment. Positive attitude and team‑oriented. Availability to work after hours, weekends, and during emergencies as needed. Residency Requirement New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. City employees in certain titles who have worked for the city for two continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. Discuss the residency requirement with the agency representative at the time of interview.
