Job Description PeaceHealth is seeking an RN Clinic Lead Specialty Care - Quality & Coordination (GI, General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB GYN, Sleep, Neurology, and Cardiology) for a full‑time Day position. This is a 1.00 FTE role with a salary range of $48.52 – $72.78. The hiring rate depends on education, training, work experience, terms of collective bargaining agreement, seniority, and other factors. A hiring bonus and relocation bonus may be available. Responsibilities Assign work; plan and manage priorities, provide technical assistance, oversee staff schedules, monitor quality of work, oversee team projects, mentor staff, provide constructive feedback, oversee staff training, ensure quality improvement, provide leadership feedback on staff performance, and assist with goal setting for the team. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs: assess the patient’s condition, triage patient phone calls, counsel patients, provide patient education, take patient histories, administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs. Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards. Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development. Participate in the development and maintenance of established policies, procedures, and objectives; quality improvement; safety; environmental and infection prevention programs. Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments pertaining to patient care. Screen and prioritize patient telephone or walk‑in inquiries concerning medical care, prescription refills, insurance authorizations and referrals. Evaluate and respond appropriately to urgent or emergency situations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Accredited School of Nursing (required) Experience Minimum 1 year required in the staff RN role that the caregiver will lead over. Minimum 2 years preferred in an outpatient clinic, with previous leadership experience. Credentials Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Basic Life Support upon hire. Skills Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age‑specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient’s needs. Demonstrated ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and a patient/family‑centered work environment. Proficiency with MS Office applications and related healthcare software systems in a clinic setting. Ability to provide health education to patients, staff and community. Knowledge of Medicare and The Joint Commission regulations pertaining to ambulatory care. Ability to balance information regarding patient needs, staff needs, and clinic needs in decision making and prioritization of work. Strong organizational, administrative, communication and problem‑solving skills. Working Conditions Lifting Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment (NIOSH). Fine motor skills to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures. Push/Pull: frequently up to 45 lbs. force (e.g., medical carts). Perform hands‑on CPR at least 20 minutes using 100‑125 lbs. of force; frequency should be seldom or occasionally. Ability to move around the area with frequent sitting. Bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and kneeling frequently. Lifting non‑patient up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently. Environmental Conditions Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment. Mental/Visual Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
