We are seeking a Senior Accountant who is passionate about using their skills to support a mission that directly impacts lives.Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity and sustainability of Best Point's programs. This position supports a wide range of accounting functions, enabling our educators, clinicians, and program leaders to focus on delivering life-changing services. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset, along with a commitment to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysisPerform balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow analysis to ensure accurate financial reportingAssist in preparing timely and accurate financial statements and internal reportsConduct departmental financial analysis and KPI reporting to support informed decision-makingPrepare and reconcile grant and fund accounting entriesDevelop grant budgets, enter grant data into required systems, and complete monthly grant billingReconcile accounts receivable, including billed and unbilled receivables, pledges, donations, and cash receiptsAssist with annual audits, budget development, and various tax filingsEnsure all internal and external reporting requirements are completed accurately, completely, and on timeMaintain financial data and systems related to accounting applicationsParticipate in ongoing training related to billing and financial systemsCollaborate with internal program teams and external partners to obtain documentation and support timely, accurate receivablesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual financial reportsPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Experience working with accounting and billing systemsStrong proficiency in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound independent judgmentHigh level of attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workWork Environment:Exposed to a combination of office, school and mental health treatment environments.
