Marketing Assistant

Purpose of Position The Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting the company in the pursuit of work both in the private and public sector. Researching potential leads and developing strategies for maximizing new connections are vital in this position. Essential Functions Researching new request for proposals/quotes. Compiling information to be distributed among professional staff. Assisting in strategizing for potential lead generation. Composing documents such as letters, profiles, project examples, etc. Compiling information from other sources to be inserted into proposals. Creating graphics, handouts, and presentations for business development. Coordinating flow of information and communication and disseminating it according to plan/strategy. Taking a lead role in proposal writing and presentations. Reviewing and editing proposals using business writing skills. Communicating with existing and potential clients to schedule meetings and to discover new opportunities. Physical Demands of Position While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand and walk, use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and/or carry up to 10 pounds. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Environmental/Working Conditions This position will be working in a typical administrative office with appropriate lighting and temperature. Equipment Used Telephone, Printer/Copiers, Fax, Computer with peripherals, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite Job Specifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, English or a related field. One to three years of experience work experience in a relatable position. Preferably a general understanding of the engineering and construction market. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Wordpress, and Adobe Creative Suite. Must have demonstrated writing and communication abilities.
