Assistant Tennis Coach (PT) Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach isresponsible for all aspects of the development and administrationof a successful NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Tennis Program.The program will be conducted in accordance with all College andNational Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Conference ofNew England, rules, regulations, and policies. The Assistant Coach is a professional employee of the College witha primary duty of teaching and instructing student-athletes in thesport of Tennis. The vast majority of the Assistant Coach's time isspent on coaching/teaching duties in season as well as somerecruiting, while a minority of the Assistant Coach's time is spentperforming administrative duties. Essential Functions: 1. Coaching/Teaching Duties (80% of Assistant Coach'stime): On court coaching the sport of tennis and skills needed to besuccessful during practice; On court coaching during matches; Ability to travel with a selected team when both teams areplaying same day. 2. Administrative Duties (20% of Assistant Coach'stime): Help Head Coach with Frontrush system; Be involved in a comprehensive recruiting program to bringquality Tennis Student athletes to Curry. (Calls, emails,showcases, visits, etc?); Drive van when needed. 3. Supervision None Additional Functions: Comply with the NCAA Tennis policies, conference rules, anddepartment policies and procedures; Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach; Must be able to perform Head Coach duties on an emergencybasis; Respect and maintain confidentiality, parameters of operation,professional protocols, and individual privacy. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related discipline froman accredited four-year collegiate institution. One to two years of Tennis coaching experience at the club,high school or college level. Experience in coaching and knowledge of the fundamentals,tactics, and strategies of coaching Tennis with ability to recruittalented players for the program. Knowledgeable and current on all College rules and regulationsconcerning eligibility and recruiting related to Tennis. Ability to handle emergency situations involving students. Current driver's license and good driving record. Ability to travel. Ability to work evening and weekends and some holidays. Preferred Qualifications: Tennis playing experience. Current CPR and First Aid certification.
