Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room

Banner CORE Surgery Center - Union Hills, 18301 N 79th Ave, Glendale, Arizona, United States of America Job Description Status: Full-Time Position Summary This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The role is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction, using specialized knowledge and judgment to assess data and provide appropriate care. Essential Functions Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs, reviews patient history and labs, and reports abnormal results to physicians. Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, based on assessment data and patient goals, and revises plans as patient needs change. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the healthcare team, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Evaluates patient and family response to care, revises plans, and evaluates progress toward goals. Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation accurately, legibly and timely. Provides evidence‑based care, participates in research activities, and contributes to professional development of colleagues. Promotes excellence and participates in improvement of national nursing quality indicators. Might serve as charge nurse for staff and workflow, depending on location. Performs all functions per policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Delivers excellent customer experience through leadership behaviors. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required. Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license, or compact RN licensure for the state of practice. BLS and ACLS certifications required. PALS certification required within 90 days if assigned ASC services pediatrics. Minimum one‑year licensed RN experience in OR (or other procedural areas with support from the Clinical Educator).
