Department/Unit: Operating Room
Shift: Variable Shift (starts at 10 AM, 4 shifts of 10 hours)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Salary Range: $40 - $55 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a surgical environment and eager to grow within a supportive healthcare team. This position involves working variable shifts with a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, including sterilization and setup of instruments.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels during surgery.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in on-call duties as required (1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month minimum).

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of California.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room setting preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
