Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Stepdown Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Active License Required Prior to Start Date Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Strongly prefer travel experience Previous charge experience preferred Description: 3x12 days RN Pediatric Stepdown. Average patient ratios are 1:3. First-timers will be considered, but strong preference is given to those with travel experience. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required. Local candidates will not be accepted. Pending licenses will be accepted, provided they are active before the start date. Requests for time off greater than 7 days require approval. Facility Details: Type of facility is Short-Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center. Total staffed beds are 1,567. Charting system used is Epic. Unit Details: Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, and pediatrics. Daily census is approximately 9 patients. The unit will be cohorting children with respiratory illnesses. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. Patient diagnoses include general medical patients and respiratory diagnoses.
