The opportunity

A leading national engineering firm is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help lead its healthcare work in Raleigh. You'll run hospital and healthcare projects from first concept through to the end of construction. You'll also be a senior voice in the mechanical team, guiding engineers day to day and helping them grow.

What you'll do

• Lead mechanical design on healthcare projects of all sizes, from concept design to completion of construction
• Design HVAC systems for complex clinical spaces such as operating rooms, isolation rooms and central plants
• Be the main technical and client-facing lead, managing relationships, the project team and the schedule
• Supervise the mechanical staff's day-to-day work
• Mentor engineers on technical skills and career development
• Work closely with the in-house electrical, plumbing, fire protection and other teams

What you'll bring

• A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• A PE licence (Ideally)
• 7+ years of experience in an A/E consulting environment
• A proven track record of managing projects successfully
• Strong HVAC design expertise and a working knowledge of the related disciplines
• Healthcare experience is highly desirable
