Assurance Advisor, Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) - Non-Financial Reporting Assurance/Advisory (NFRA) (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1714989), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Austin, TX Advise clients on how to improve the credibility of their nonfinancial reporting by communicating performance, and responding to the development of corporate, nonfinancial, and integrated reporting frameworks. Apply understanding of nonfinancial disclosure standards, frameworks and questionnaires such as GRI, TCFD, ISSB, SASB, CDP, UNPRI, and other reporting frameworks. Apply understanding of emerging nonfinancial reporting regulations worldwide such as the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and California’s climate disclosure laws. Apply understanding of carbon credits or offsets issued under voluntary and/or regulatory standards. Share market updates on the latest regulatory developments and leading reporting practices with key audit client contacts. Help clients to identify stakeholder expectations, as well as assist in providing trust and confidence to the market on performance and in creating long‑term value. Responsibilities may include developing nonfinancial disclosures, integrated annual reports and other communications. Responsible for establishing corporate governance risk disclosures, collecting and collating nonfinancial data to support management reporting, reporting to the board, and external disclosures and developing internal and external reporting strategies, including identifying KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Responsible for leading fieldwork, managing performance, and keeping engagement leaders updated on audit engagements. Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in‑depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long‑term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and 5 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate work related experience. Alternatively, Master’s degree and 4 years of related experience. 4 years of auditing experience in a public accounting firm registered with PCAOB. 2 years of experience with environmental, social, economic, and governance (ESG) disclosure standards, frameworks and questionnaires such as GRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP, UNPRI, or other sustainability reporting frameworks. 2 years of experience assisting businesses in understanding key climate change and sustainability issues, regulatory developments, and market best practices. 2 years of experience collaborating with stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions of high business value. 2 years of experience with evaluating complex ESG project risks and issues. Certification/accreditation or sufficient coursework/experience requirements to obtain certification within one year of hire in one of the following: APICS CSCP, CA Canada, CPA Canada, CAP, CBIP, Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CFA ESG, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Industrial Hygienist / CIH, Certified Information Systems Auditor Certificate (CISA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), Certified Professional Geologist (CPG), Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), GARP Sustainability and Climate Risk Certificate, Greenhouse Gas Emissions Verification (GHG Verifier), Global Reporting Initiative Professional Certification (GRI), International Society of Sustainability Professionals – Certified Sustainability Professional (ISSP – CSP), Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP), International Society of Sustainability Professionals – Sustainability Associate (ISSP – SA), Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA), LEED, Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or SASB Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Credential.
