TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Park Ridge, Illinois, 60068!

Job Title: Nursing Float Pool RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: RN Medical Center Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Experience with SERVO and HFOV vents - Experience with traches, chest tubes, and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) - Knowledge of umbilical and arterial lines, drips - Familiarity with NG, G-tube, and enteral feeds Description: Must be able to travel between two campuses. Assignments are posted 90-120 minutes prior to shift start. The facility is a Magnet Client with Level 1 Trauma and Level III NICU. Patient types include premature infants and unstable newborns requiring medical care and surgery. Patient ratios are RN to patient is 1:2. There are no CNAs on the unit. Support on the unit includes a free-floating charge nurse, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and 24/7 neonatology. Nurses station and bedside monitoring are available with no telemetry technology. Each patient has their own stethoscope for infection prevention. Charting systems include EPIC, Pyxis, Alaris, and Philips monitor. NICU RNs have not been floating due to current census. There may be a chance to float to another pediatric inpatient unit if it is a NICU-appropriate assignment. Another option may be to float to another NICU within the system, but this is not an expectation; it is a choice due to distance. Scheduling includes a weekend rotation every third weekend. Approval for time off should go through management. Scrubs are provided on the unit for infection prevention.
