This is a full-time onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.The Principal Contract Administrator will report to the Contracts Manager and support sustainment programs in the Tactical Modernization Solutions Operating Unit within the Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division - Global Mission Solutions Business Unit.The Contracts Administrator will participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. As primary interface with customer, the Contracts Administrator will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.Associated roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Reviewing terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommending risk mitigation strategies.Under general supervision, developing solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.Assisting management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.Preparing written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual mattersMaintaining contract data into Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System.Ensuring timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.This role will have significant visibility within high visibility programs, including Division and Sector submittals and reviews and must manage tight deadlines in a complex environment. This individual must have the ability to meet high performance expectations in a very dynamic environment. Excellent communication is a must as the selected candidate will be directly involved in negotiations with the customer as a strategic team member. Our team is looking for someone who wants to grow and get experience with different contract types.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree with 5 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of related professional experienceExperience with FAR/DFARSExperience working with various contract types such as Time & Material, Cost types, Firm Fixed Price, Other Transactions, etc.Experience working with proposal development and negotiationsU.S. Citizenship required.Current US Government Secret security clearance is required.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in U.S. Government Department of Defense contract administration & managementExperience working independently and collaborating with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)Experience briefing internal and external customersExperience handling multiple tasks concurrentlyExperience with the SAP Sales & Distribution ModuleNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
