What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized cardiothoracic surgical care supporting surgeons and managing adult/geriatric patients
• Assist with procedures such as temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and A-line placement
• Support 10-15 CVICU/step-down patients daily and participate in 1-2 surgeries
• Maintain thorough documentation using Cerner EMR
• Support the care and recovery of complex cardiac patients in a hospital setting
• Participate in call rotations as scheduled

What You Need

Required:

• Active Arizona Physician Assistant license or APRN license
• DEA registration
• 3+ years recent cardiothoracic surgery experience with EVH
• Certification as a PA or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with NCCPA or ANCC/AANP
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Graduate from an accredited academic program in nursing or PA studies
• Ability to start within 30 days

Preferred:

• Experience with large hospital settings and complex procedures
