This contract Paraprofessional opportunity focuses on fostering growth, learning, and engagement, assisting in classroom management, and helping students reach their full potential. You will have the chance to work closely with educators and make a daily impact in a welcoming school environment near scenic Napa, CA.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school-based support role preferred
- Familiarity with classroom routines and positive behavior reinforcement
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and staff to adapt lessons and activities for diverse learners
- Strong communication skills with both students and colleagues
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to supporting student success
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers with classroom instruction and organization
- Support individual or small groups of students, particularly those with unique learning needs
- Help implement behavior management strategies and promote a positive, inclusive environment
- Supervise students during transitions, activities, and breaks to ensure safety and engagement
- Provide feedback on student progress and participate in planning sessions as needed
- Perform clerical or instructional tasks to contribute to the smooth functioning of the classroom
