Empower students and staff by facilitating essential special education processes as a full-time, onsite IEP Facilitator in a supportive educational environment near Lemitar, NM. This contract opportunity focuses on collaborating with school personnel and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district requirements as you lead the development and completion of individualized education programs (IEPs). The position offers a competitive hourly wage between $37 and $47, plus comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits and a 401(k) plan.
Your primary focus will be facilitating IEP and Manifestation Determination meetings, making sure documentation is meticulous, compliant, and timely, and that all required participants are well prepared. You’ll act as a resource and trainer for staff, guiding them through the IEP process and keeping the Director of Special Education informed about broader trends or policy needs. This role is critical in supporting SAT teams and special education staff with interventions and modifications that enhance student success, and in providing ongoing staff development and training.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or IEP Coordinator in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven skills in leading meetings and collaborating with diverse teams
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IEP and Manifestation Determination meetings, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance
- Collaborate with special education teams to develop and deliver effective interventions and staff training
- Advise and inform leadership of trends or needs arising from the IEP process
- Provide resources, support, and training to staff for ongoing professional growth
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education
