Project Manager

We are partnering with a leading U.S.-based Independent Power Producer and renewable energy developer to hire a Project Manager supporting a portfolio of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the country. This organization develops, finances, owns, and operates renewable energy assets at scale and is focused on long-term asset performance, disciplined project execution, and delivering reliable clean power to the grid. Role Overview The Project Manager will act as the single point of accountability for assigned projects from late-stage development through construction and final turnover to Operations & Asset Management. This is a hands-on execution role requiring strong experience within an IPP or owner-operator environment, with direct accountability for EPC delivery, commercial oversight, and cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities Lead execution of utility-scale solar + storage projects from late development through COD and handover Support EPC RFP processes, contractor selection, negotiation, and contract execution Manage full project lifecycle activities including turnover from Development/Pre-Construction into Construction and O&M Own project execution plans and ensure alignment across engineering, construction, and commercial teams Oversee EPC contracts, change orders, RFIs, budgets, forecasts, and schedule adherence Drive project performance across safety, cost, quality, and schedule metrics Coordinate with utilities, permitting agencies, landowners, and external stakeholders Support high-voltage interconnection coordination and utility interface activities Provide regular reporting to internal leadership, lenders, and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and industry standards Support final project closeout and operational handoff Ideal Background 2–5+ years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy project execution within an IPP, developer-operator, or owner’s rep environment (required) Strong understanding of EPC contracting and large-scale construction management Experience across solar PV and/or battery energy storage projects Familiarity with high-voltage interconnection and utility coordination strongly preferred Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Power BI, MS Project, Procore, SiteTracker, or similar Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage contractors from an owner’s perspective Why This Role Join a top-tier renewable IPP actively scaling its national portfolio True end-to-end project ownership (development through operations) Strong career growth within a rapidly expanding platform Hybrid/remote flexibility depending on location #J-18808-Ljbffr
