What You'll Do

As a Unit Clerk, you'll support our nursing and medical teams by:

• Assisting nurses with lab collections and processing
• Creating and maintaining patient charts and electronic health records
• Answering and directing calls for the nursing unit
• Ordering, stocking, and organizing department supplies
• Coordinating admissions, bed assignments, and discharge processes
• Obtaining vital signs, EKGs, and assisting with new patient admissions
• Supporting staff during patient escalations while following hospital safety protocols
• Completing quality control logs and submitting maintenance work orders
• Keeping nursing stations clean, organized, and operating efficiently
• Assisting with direct patient care on the unit as needed (approximately 10% of monthly duties)
• Participating in required trainings and staff meetings

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• One to three months of experience in a hospital, healthcare, or similar care setting
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) or Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
• Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral health needs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
