Job Title: PACU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Mid Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of recent experience required License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: ICU experience required Must pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, achieving at least an 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms Pediatric PACU, Phase I, Phase II recovery, and Pre-post experience required CERNER experience required Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment Description: ASAP start preferred. Shifts are ten-hour or twelve-hour shifts. We operate from 0730 to 2330. Alternating Days, Mids, or Nights are expected. Call is required, possibly 5-6 times per six-week period. Floating to cover ICU is required. Weekend shifts are 2 weekends per 6-week contract. Scrubs will be provided. Patient ratios are 2:1 for Days, Nights, and Weekends. Candidates must have experience caring for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census in the unit is approximately 45 patients. The unit supports various interdisciplinary services, including physical therapy and pharmacy. Candidates must be comfortable with a range of medical procedures and protocols. Two supervisory references are needed to support at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years. No requests for time off are permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Additional compliance requirements must be completed upon hiring.
