Position The Sales Manager oversees daily operations of an inside sales team of Account Managers and Sales Support Representatives for Public Sector's State and Local Government, Higher Education, and K-12 Education (SLED) groups. Responsibilities Assess cold calling capabilities: observe performance via remote monitoring, direct monitoring, and joint customer calls. Collaborate with Sales Coaches on new hires' professional development. Provide constructive feedback and conduct one-on-one proactive coaching, training, and skill development sessions. Track and apprise team members of progress toward monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. Conduct periodic business reviews for each Account Manager. Ensure timely and accurate completion of timecards for payroll processing and address attendance or time recording issues promptly, involving HR as needed. Conduct ongoing and annual performance evaluations for assigned team members. Interview and hire members of sales teams. Serve as the first line of support to team members for logistics, customer issues, pricing inquiries, system and procedural questions, advice, and issue escalation. Produce business results through pipeline and deal management, vendor engagement, customer involvement, sound decision-making, and profitability management. Attend sales meetings and training sessions to enhance and maintain sales skills and technology industry trends. Qualifications Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in a related technology field dealing with hardware, software and/or IT services. Previous outbound sales experience in an account management or account executive environment. Adept at proactively finding business opportunities within the existing customer base. Advanced knowledge of Business Development and ability to create new lines of business. Negotiation skills to secure favorable purchasing agreements. Previous experience working with a CRM tool and understanding integration with order management system. Organized, able to document activities, anticipate problems, plan schedules, and monitor performance according to priorities and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Professional experience managing or coaching inside sales teams. Experience working in the IT channel. Compensation Minimum: USD $67,000.00 per year. Maximum: USD $85,520.00 per year.
