Braun Medical, visit Position Summary The maintenance technician - PAB is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal operational downtime. This role applies advanced technical knowledge across multiple skilled trades—including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance—to troubleshoot issues, execute repairs, and implement system improvements that enhance efficiency and reliability. Working under general supervision, you will routinely inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and take proactive measures to prevent disruptions. This role may also provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior team members / op-techs, ensuring work is completed in alignment with established standards, policies, and performance targets. The position requires collaboration with internal teams, supervisors, and external contractors or vendors. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and proficiency in interpreting schematics and construction drawings, while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and company procedures. This position reports to Kevin Guzman and will be fully onsite Range $33.44 - $47.00 In this role, you will have the chance to: Perform scheduled maintenance on facilities equipment and systems. Repair the malfunction of machines, systems and auxiliary equipment. Routinely check on machinery and systems for signs of fault in order to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions. Initiate improvement on the functionality of facilities equipment and systems to increase its efficiency. Senior position might act as a team leader to ensure that the work meets agreed targets by directly overseeing team members. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices Document activities accordingly. Essential Requirements Required to apply advanced working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization. Exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts, and proposes a course of action. Performs advance shop floor competencies. Work under general supervision. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning & checking the work of other peers. Must have High School Diploma and two year related experience Knowledge of basic plumbing repair for facility fixtures and drains. Must be able to install conduit and pull content wire. Must be able to measure and interpret line and phase voltages and currents. Understand basic mechanical blueprint reading principles. Must be able to perform preventive maintenance on support equipment Must have a good understanding of positive pressure requirements in controlled environments Must have knowledge refrigerant types, condensers, pumps, evaporators, expansion devices, and safety control devices. Must have knowledge lockout / tagout and protective clothing requirements. Knowledge of facility power distribution system. Must be able to install copper pipe, tubing and related fittings; able to solder and braze . Must be able to identify gage types, cut, and bend sheet metals. Must have knowledge of operating principles of air handling systems. Knowledge of backflow presenters. Must be able to trouble shoot transformers. Preferred Experience includes Ability to read electrical schematics. Experienced troubleshooting PLC controlled equipment Understand motor controls ,sensors and electrical control devices. Understand basic fluids principles and apply to equipment. Understand and apply SDWT principles While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
