Summary This job opportunity is for an MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR, position description D0843000, within the 177th LRS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. Its purpose is to operate and perform operator maintenance on one or more motor vehicles to transport personnel, supplies, materials or equipment. Responsibilities As an MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR, WG-5703-8, you will: Operate and perform operator maintenance Assures cargo is properly loaded, distributed, and secured Transport personnel, supplies, materials or equipment Perform warehouse work to include issuing receiving and inventorying equipment Complete log books, maintenance records, reports, and other transportation documents for accuracy Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: Area III Title 32 Only, Members of the New Jersey National Guard.Military Grades: E-3 to E-9Additional Requirements: Participation in direct deposit is mandatory May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2- year probation/trial period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency. (Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Qualifications General Experience: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position.
