This associate will also perform the duties of an Inside Sales associate listed below.* Performs various duties in the plant including monitoring equipment to fill cryogenic liquids and pure industrial gasses as well as performing level 1 duties.* All duties and responsibilities shall be performed as set forth in established policies and procedures.* Adhere to and assure compliance with the Code of Conduct/Handbook, policies and procedures and all applicable rules, regulations and standards promulgated by Federal, State and other applicable agencies or regulating bodies.* Maintain a high level of customer service by assisting customers with will call, counter and telephone sales.* Analyze and efficiently advance customer orders in a timely manner. Meet customer needs by recommending appropriate products and services.* Enter sales data, quotes or other relevant information into inventory control system.* Assist manager in ordering appropriate merchandise to ensure stock remains at an acceptable level.* Restock store merchandise and maintain current pricing on all store displays and products.* Help nurture and grow existing customer base with all product lines.* Ensure customer inquiries related to accounts receivable billing issues, cylinder balances, order status, time of delivery, etc. are supportively handled.* Adhere to all Airgas safety rules and regulations by actively collaborating in identifying any safety and/or health hazards while in the workplace.* Pull orders from warehouse as necessary.* Provide support to internal and external customers to maintain inventory and delivery needs.* Identify potential problems with cylinders and notify management in a timely manner.* Collect, record transactions and submit all customer payments promptly to manager.* Ideally bring experience or eagerness to learn to fill high pressure and industrial gases, flammable, non-flammable, pure and cryogenic gases.* Complete daily fill logs, inventory logs and tracking records accurately and timely.* Regularly inspect pumping and cylinder monitoring equipment.* Perform minor maintenance and inspection of cylinders and filling equipment as needed.* Ensure proper and full time use of PPE.* Brings collaborative leadership within the Airgas culture - putting safety first.* Safely operate forklift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, chain hoist, etc. to load/unload compressed and liquid industrial gas cylinders to and from delivery trucks to filling and storage areas.* May load cylinders onto vehicles manually or with the aid of material handling equipment.* Transfer plant cylinders to different areas within the facility using a forklift.* Identify and sort cylinders for efficient refilling and handling.* Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.* Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.## \\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_\\_#### **Required Qualifications:*** Must consistently demonstrate the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment* Excellent customer service and communication, interpersonal and organizational skills* Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.* Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals* Ability to work in a team based environment* Possess a commitment and desire to work safely and ethically* Random drug testing applies.* Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.## **Preferred Qualifications:*** High School Diploma* Knowledge of industrial gases, welding supply and hardware desired* Minimum of 6 months Level I experience and training* Minimum two (2) years inside sales experience or customer service experience* Minimum of two (2) filling experience of High Pressure and Liquid Gases.* Experience operating a forklift is preferredThe hourly base pay range for this position in California is $25.00/hr. - $29.00/hr.
