Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I

The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I performs radiographic procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision. This role involves performing technical procedures that may necessitate independent judgment. The technologist applies prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Patient intake is part of the responsibilities, including collecting medical histories. The technologist must be able to address patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Specific instructions from providers guide the imaging areas to be targeted. The technologist ensures the imaging process is conducted safely and comfortably for patients. Proficient operation of imaging equipment is expected. A firm understanding of human anatomy and physiology is necessary. The technologist demonstrates knowledge of proper imaging techniques across all patient populations. Collaboration with providers may occur to review results of imaging tests. Additional imaging may be determined in consultation with providers.

Experience: Minimum 2 years License: No specific license required Certifications: BLS Certification, ARRT, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: BLS Certification, ARRT
