Registered Nurse - PACU

Location: Medical City Heart & Spine, Texas

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Job Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our PACU team. The ideal candidate will have critical care and PACU experience, with a strong focus on teamwork and patient care. The PACU unit consists of 16 beds and is staffed by a dedicated team of 16 professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor patient recovery progress and respond to any complications or emergencies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to manage patient care effectively.
• Utilize equipment such as LVADs, A-lines, Swans, and ventilators as needed.
• Document care and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have critical care ICU experience.
• PACU experience is mandatory.
• Preferred skills include cardiac experience and ortho/neuro experience.
• ACLS certification is required.
