Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (Fellow) - Urologic Surgery

Position Summary Advanced Practice Provider- Fellow is a paid, year-long fellowship that will provide the opportunity for an individual to continue their education in a practical setting. Primary Duties & Responsibilities The fellow will experience a wide variety of clinical settings including outpatient, inpatient and peri‑operative practice. Experiences will take place within the BJC Healthcare system. Participate in weekly continuing education sessions and have the opportunity to share in a research project. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Normal office environment Patient care setting Physical Effort Typically sitting at desk or table Typically standing or walking Repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement Equipment Office equipment Clinical/diagnostic equipment Required Qualifications Education: Master's degree Certifications / Professional Licenses: Certified Nurse Practitioner – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Certified Nurse Practitioner – Missouri Division of Professional Registration Nurse Practitioner (NP) within 3 months – Missouri Division of Professional Registration Physician Assistant – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Physician Assistant – Missouri Division of Professional Registration Registered Nurse – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Registered Nurse – Missouri Division of Professional Registration Work Experience: No specific work experience is required for this position. Skills: Not Applicable Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position. Nurse Practitioner Fellow Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program. APN licensure or ability to successfully obtain licensure within three months of date of hire. Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty. Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirement). Physician Assistant Fellow Graduate of PA program. Current PA licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location (or ability to obtain within three months of date of hire). Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty. Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirement).
