Founded in June 2023, Crete Professionals Alliance (Crete PA) aims to drive growth across accounting and professional service firms in the United States. Our initial venture in August 2023 involved acquiring a majority interest in the non-attest assets of a top 300 US-based national firm, positioning us alongside the top 100 US accounting firms based on cumulative revenue. With nearly ten partner firms, multiple deals under LOI, and substantial committed capital, Crete PA is poised to shortly become equivalent to a top 50 firm in terms of aggregate revenue, with ambitions to expand into a multi-country platform. Supported by ZBS Partners, a firm managing over $500 million in assets, and led by cofounders experienced in developing multi-industry platforms, Crete PA partners with local firms to enhance their independence while boosting their revenue and profitability.

We connect you with qualified professionals who can nurture and grow other areas of your business.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances, prepares and adjusts workpapers from clients' trial balance.
• Recognizes potential problem areas in specific engagements and discusses them with engagement supervisor. Participates in the engagement planning process. Performs other accounting, auditing, and consulting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel. Assumes full responsibility (under supervision) for preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements. Assists with more complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements. Drafts annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures. Becomes proficient at preparing financial statements using the firm's software programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; 3.0 or higher GPA in major preferred.
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Government Auditing Standards (GAS YellowBook) and Generally Accepted Governmental Accounting Standards (GAGAS) a plus.
• Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting software programs, specifically Excel/Word.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.

We are excited to invite talented individuals to join our dynamic team! This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000-$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The total rewards package at Current includes base salary and benefits.

Our salary ranges are competitive within the accounting industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate's experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
