Role Description The Associate Buyer role at MadRag is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. The Associate Buyer will support the buying team with assortment planning, vendor communication, and purchase order execution to ensure the right product is delivered to stores on time and within budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing sales and inventory reports, identifying trends and opportunities, preparing buying presentations, and assisting with line reviews and product selection. The role will also involve tracking samples, coordinating with merchandising, planning, and allocation teams, and helping to manage markdowns and replenishment strategies. The Associate Buyer will contribute to maintaining MadRag's on-trend, size-inclusive product offering while supporting margin and sales goals. Qualifications Strong analytical and numerical skills, including experience working with sales, inventory, and margin data to inform buying decisions. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools; experience with retail management or merchandising systems is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and cross-functional partners. Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple deadlines, samples, and purchase orders simultaneously. Demonstrated interest in fashion, trend awareness, and understanding of the junior and value-oriented retail customer. Ability to work on-site in New York, NY, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while exercising sound judgment and adaptability. Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Previous internship or 1–2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or a related retail role is preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
